Sunday February 19th 2023

09:00 We start the day with a zoom call to our daughter Sarah, who lives in Perth, Australia, with husband Francis and their 9-year-old twins Lily and Jessica. It's nice for our 2 daughters to get together for a chat, and also for 4 of our 5 grandchildren to get to know each other better too.

we talk on zoom with Sarah, our daughter in Perth, Australia,
and with her 9-year-old twins Lily and Jessica.

10:30 We go for a walk on the common and see a train passing through, which is a bit of excitement!

Yes, surprisingly, Malvern has good connections!

We continue our walk.

13:00 Time to say goodbye sob sob!!!!!

19:00 After dinner we watch an old episode of the sitcom "The IT Crowd" from 2010, based on the adventures of a small IT-trouble-shooting team - Roy, Moss and their boss Jen - who work in the basement of the massive Denholm Industries Building in London.

You must remember this episode - it's a real "doozy"!

You know, it's the one where Moss appears on Channel Four's daytime quiz "Countdown", and scores his usual 9 points with a word nobody's ever heard of. It's complete madness !!!!

Challenged to make as long a word as possible out of an apparently random string "TNETENNBA", Moss's opponent scores an impressive "6" with "TENANT".

Moss, however, trumps him with a "9", revealing that "TNETENNBA" is already a word - not only that, but Moss deftly goes on to illustrate its meaning with a line from a typical conversation!

He really is a marvel, that Moss !!!!!

20:00 We wind down by having a go at some of the quizzes in next week's Radio Times.

We feel very good tonight, but at the same time a little exhausted, so it's a bit of a surprise when we do better than expected on the quizzes, scoring 4 out of 10 on Popmaster, and a heady 8 out of 10 on Eggheads, which is reassuring!

Somehow, somewhat startled by this success, we shortly afterwards surprisingly find ourselves in bed, and not a moment too soon!

Zzzzzzzzz!!!!!
