08:00 I read 20 pages of my
bedtime book, Ben Elton's "Two Brothers" (Danish version).
10:00 Lois and me, and Alison talk
a little on whatsapp with Sarah, our youngest daughter who lives in Perth,
Australia and with Sarah's 5-year-old twins, Lily and Jessie.
Sarah started a new job last week. Her new company is part of the “solar energy” industry, but she has discovered that it does not produce any equipment - it only deals with the logistics of projects, and makes deals with companies that can supply and install the equipment.

My goodness, what a crazy world
we live in !!!!
But it is so nice for Lois and me
to see the two sisters, our only children, who spent their first 20 years
together in our house and who were once so close but now live on the other side
of the world from each other, having the
opportunity to chat and laugh together,
just like in the old good days.
Flashback 40 years to 1979: the two sisters, Alison
(4) and Sarah (2) -
Happy times !!!!!!!
Happy times !!!!!!!
11:00 Rainy weather again today.
Alison's children are in school, and Lois and I, along with Alison, drive into Haslemere
to look around the shops and have lunch.
I swing by the local hardware
store and buy a QuickChop tool that will save me a lot of time when I am
slicing or chopping up an apple to sweeten my porridge in the morning - hurrah!
12:30 We have lunch at Oliver’s
café in the middle of town and drive home again.

In the afternoon, Lois and I help
Alison manage some items on her to-do list. Most afternoons she has a very
complicated schedule - the children do a lot of after-school activities: piano
lessons, violin lessons, football, rugby, swimming, athletics, gymnastics,
etc., and poor Alison has trouble organising when to pick up who, where.
My god, what madness !!!!
When Lois and I were kids, we
only had piano lessons, nothing else, which made it much easier for our parents,
who did not even own cars when we were that age.
a typical schedule that Alison has to follow - the poor thing !!!!
18:00 We have dinner and watch some television, and then prepare
to drive home to Cheltenham tomorrow.
22:00 We go to bed - zzzzzzz !!!!

08:00 Jeg læser 20 sider af min sengetidbog, Ben Eltons ”To brødre”
(danske version).

11:00 Regnvejr igen i dag.

efterskoleaktiviteter: klaverlektioner, violinlektioner, fodbold, rugby,
