Lily
først i 1900-tallet.
I går læste
Men
I dag læser
begynder at gå galt.
!!!!!
Hun sikrer at
venlige, end chimpanser.
Zzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!

09:45 Lois and I talk a little on whatsapp with Sarah,
our daughter in Australia, also with Francis, her husband, and their 4-year-old
twins, Lily and Jessie. The children enjoy showing us some of their newest toys
and dancing for us. How cute they are!
Lily and Jessie, our grandchildren in
Australia.
Lily is at the moment very into cleaning, and
sweeping the floor
Lois and I do not know why Sarah prefers to use whatsapp
rather than skype. It's a bit of a shame that we can only see the twins on my
smartphone's little screen, but we're going to let that one slide.
Sarah tells us she has to book a time at the family's medical clinic for Francis's second biopsy. He has been diagnosed with nodules
on the thyroid gland but it is not clear whether the nodes are benign or not.
His first biopsy was not 100% conclusive, so his doctor recommended another
attempt.
10:45 Lois has to attend her church's two services today
and also to be a Sunday school teacher during the sermon. She does not want to
drive herself because of back pain, so I offer to drive her to Tewkesbury and
pick her up later in the day and drive her back home.
12:00 I drop her off and drive home. Unfortunately I do
not have as much alone time as expected today. Maybe next Sunday will be better? I have lunch
and take a short afternoon nap. I get up at 1:30pm.
I read another 5 pages of my Danish novel, Klinkevals by
Jane Aamund, which is set in the early 1900s. The novel's plot is starting to
hot up, no doubt about that!
The gorgeous Juliane, now suddenly a 30-something widow and single mother to two teenagers, has met a charming younger man of Hungarian
origin, the 21-year-old Otto.
The gorgeous Mette Lisby, who plays Juliane
in the movie from 1999.
Yesterday I read how Otto showed up at Juliane's
workplace, a local butcher shop, at the end of the working day, and the couple
went for a walk together in the city's darkened streets. He kissed her passionately under a lamp post and she felt his hands going down her back and ending up with
a firm grip on her backside - good grief, what madness!
Later the couple went up the stairs to Otto's small
apartment, and the excitement mounted. But just then Lois called me down for
dinner and I had to stop reading - damn it!
But today I read on a little further. The couple are now in
Otto's apartment and they want to eat a little and talk together first, before
going to bed. Unfortunately, this is where the whole thing begins to go wrong.
First, Juliane annoys Otto by commenting on how clean and tidy his apartment
was - she assumed that he had a maid, but in fact he was just a tidy man by
nature - his appearance, attire, beard and all that, are also flawless, it seems.
Then they start talking about politics. Bad idea! It turns
out that Otto is a socialist. "You and I, we are proletarians," he
says, "and we must all stand together against the rich pigs exploiting us! ".
He does not know that he has suddenly hit the button on one of Juliane's
favorite subjects - she is a proud independent woman and cannot stand talk of
socialism or proletarians. She is a Conservative apparently ha ha ha!
My goodness! A quarrel breaks out, and Otto is a little
taken aback by Juliane's headstrong nature. I'm beginning to feel that Otto is
not going to score with her tonight. But in fact, I guess wrong, as usual.
The couple end up in bed, but it's Juliane who takes
charge and controls the whole thing 100% from start to finish. Tempo, speed,
changes of position, 'withdrawals', etc.: Juliane is the one who calls the shots. Good
grief, what a crazy world we live in !!!!!
She makes sure that her own orgasm comes first, which is
also a bit of a revelation for Otto who "did not know women had that kind
of thing". And she completely forgets that she has 2 teenage children at
home - she and Otto finally fall asleep, and at one o'clock she wakes up,
suddenly remembers her children, and hurries off home. What madness !!!
Good grief, what a woman! I shout to Lois to pass me my
smelling salts quick, but I remember she has gone to church and I now have to
drive over there and pick her up.
Pelle Koppel as Otto, with Mette Lisby as
Juliane, in the recent movie
14:30 I drive over to Tewkesbury and pick Lois up in the
large parking lot near the town's library. We drive home.
18:00 We have dinner and spend the evening listening to a
bit of radio, an interesting discussion about chimpanzee society and the
question of how much our evolutionary past affects our political behavior and
decisions.
An interesting subject because experts believe that the
earliest people also lived and traveled around in groups of about 50, just like
today's chimpanzees. I did not know it, but researchers would normally have
classified people as being in the same genus as chimpanzees, but they have deliberately
refrained from doing so because of human "hypersensitivity". Good
grief, what madness!
Chimpanzees are very into the politics of dominance and conflict, both
within groups and between different groups, and it all looks very much like the
human political world.
People are actually as close to bonobos as they are to
chimpanzees, and the bonobos are actually much more friendly than chimpanzees.
Chimpanzees are usually hostile to chimpanzees from other groups. But the
average bonobo is very interested in foreign groups, and in this way he has a bit of a resemblance to a human researcher or a hippie, perhaps. The bonobo positively likes foreign
bonobos and loves to groom them or have sex with them. Food sources have always been more plentiful in the bonobos' environment, so bonobos can afford to relax more and enjoy life, experts believe.
There is actually the same genetic distance between
humans and chimpanzees / bonobos, as between zebras and donkeys.
22:00 We go to bed. I chat a little to Lois about zebras
and donkeys. I tell her about the article I read the other day. It seems that
you can get your picture taken in Mexico standing next to a donkey that has
been painted like a zebra, and it costs only 30 pesos. My goodness, what a
crazy world we live in !!!!
Zzzzzzzzzzz !!!!!
