i supermarkeds café – namnam!
bil – hurra!

11:30 Vi kommer hjem og jeg
går i seng – zzzzz !!!! Jeg eksperimenterer
for tiden med at tage mig en lur sidst på formiddagen i stedet for først i
eftermiddagen. Eksperimentet går hidtil meget godt – hurra!
12:00 Lois fortsætter med at
forberede 10 pund hjemmelavet appelsinmarmelade – namnam!

19:30 After dinner we skype with Alison, our oldest daughter, who lives in Gentofte, a small suburb of Copenhagen, along with Ed, her husband and their three children, Josie (9), Rosalind (7) and Isaac (5 ). It's a lot of fun to talk to her about their lives in Denmark. Ed has today been to Helsinki on business, and he has not come back yet: a long day for him, which started at 4:30 - oh dear!
She says the whole family is very tired, and they look forward very much to going away on Friday. The family is having a week's skiing holiday in Norway. They are travelling by boat from Denmark.
There is still a lot of clutter in the streets around the family's house, and noise of machines all day everywhere: the authorities are currently working on a huge project in Gentofte to install a "district heating system" in the neighborhood. The system in some way provides local heating to all homes in the area. The chaos is to last several months - my goodness, what madness!

the rest of the evening to watch TV: a vhs recording. They show the fourth
episode of the second series of "Sorry", an old sitcom from May 1982,

demanding mother and absent-minded father. We saw this episode for the first
time three months before we headed to the US, where we lived for three years.

03:45 I get up early and take a look on the internet. I see that the Danish media are warning Danes not to travel to England today without waterproofs and wellies, because of the storm Bruno: the aftermath of America's raging snowstorm. It is fortunate that the storm should hit most of all not here but for the most part Scotland, Northern Ireland and England's northern counties, especially Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire - hurray!
07:00 I put in our car three boxes and six large sacks stuffed with baby clothes.

Sainsburys supermarket. Lois has invited some of her church's older female
members to lunch tomorrow and she wants to buy some things she needs. We take
this opportunity also to drink a cup of coffee and eat a piece of cake in the
supermarket's café - yumyum!
10:30 While we drink our coffee cups in the cafe, Phil, Bob's relative
calls me. He says he is coming by today at 3pm to sign the documents and buy
Sarah's and Francis's car - hurray!

15:00 Phil comes and signs the documentation and drives Sarah's and Francis's car away - hurray, what a relief for us too! We now have a large wad of cash that I need to deposit in our account. Then I will then transfer the money electronically to Sarah's account.
16:30 I go to the village and post the car's V5C form in the postbox. When the department of motor vehicles in Swansea receives the form, then Sarah and Francis will be able to get a refund on their road tax - hurray!
