– namnam!

19:00 Vi kommer hjem og Lois går i gang med at begynde at lave hjemmelavet
appelsinmarmelade. Hun tager nogle appelsiner og gennembløder dem i to storre
skåler vand.
hjemmelavet appelsinmarmelade i vente –
namnam!

vores besøg i maj 2016.
appelsinmarmelade – namnam!
for først i eftermiddagen.
– uha!
strømafbrydelser i området.
for at købe bilen.

Sunday,
01.24.2016 at 1630 till Monday, 01.25.2016 at 1629 17:00 Lois is dead tired.
She has spent the day attending two church services, held in Tewkesbury, and
she had to pick up two elderly women, the first in Churchdown and the other in
Hatherley, and drive them to Tewkesbury, and help them both to use walking
sticks or other aids, four-wheelers etc. - my goodness! Finally she had to
drive them home. Now, Lois has sore ribs - poor Lois!
17:30 Lois
would rather not cook this evening, so we go into the village and have dinner
at a local pub, The King's Arms. We choose the roast dinner - yumyum!

19:00 We get
home and Lois begins making homemade orange marmalade. She takes some oranges and
soaks them in two big bowls of water.
homemade orange marmalade in prospect- yumyum!!!
21:00 We use the evening to watch TV. They show "War and Peace"
(the fourth episode of 6).
The beautiful Natasha is engaged to Andrei, but Andrei has to go to
Switzerland for a year, so Natasha meanwhile must do without his love - oh
dear! And it will not be long before she falls in love with another man:
Anatole, who in the middle of a ball starts to seduce her in a wardrobe - my
goodness, such goings-on!
a4 Anatole gets on with seducing Natasha in a
wardrobe - my goodness, such goings-on!
22:00 We go to bed - zzzzz !!!!
04:00 Lois still has sore ribs, so I hurry into the kitchen and make her
toast and a cup of tea, so she can take a pill, poor Lois! Afterwards, I look a
little on the Internet.
Sarah, our youngest daughter, has sent me an e-mail. She and Francis, her
husband, are currently trying to sell their old car, a Saab, which for 7 weeks
has stood in front of our house, after Sarah's family moved to Australia. Bob,
our neighbor, has a friend / relative, Phil, who has offered 60% of the price
which Francis asked. Sarah says she has sent Phil an email in which she offers
the car at approximately 80% of Francis's original price - my goodness! Phil
had told me a few days ago that the car's exhaust system was terribly rusty and
the rear disc pads (?) would have to be replaced in a few months' time - oh! I
have no knowledge of cars. For me it's all a great mystery!
07:30 Sarah sent me another email. Phil has accepted the lower price -
hurray! He wants to pay in cash, and Sarah is asking me to deposit the money in
her bank account. I have to agree with him when he will come and sign the
documents.
08:30 Lois goes to the local medical clinic. The nurse tells her that her blood pressure is not too high (hurray!), and also her weight is satisfactory (hurray again) !
09:00 I exchange even more e-mails with Sarah. I explain that Lois and I are a little concerned that we for many hours every day must take care of the twins when we visit them in Australia. I remind her that we are not as strong physically as we were in the past! She tells us not to worry. She and Francis do not expect that we for many hours occupy ourselves with child care while we are with them. They are seeking a long-term solution to the problem of child care, perhaps a professional childminder. She proposes that we begin our visit in May 2016. I answer that we also need to check when we can visit Lois's cousin in Melbourne, and her cousin in Adelaide, either before or after our visit to Perth.

10:00 My friend "Magyar" Mike comes, and we study Hungarian for
one hour.
11:00 Mike has to go. Lois and I relax with a cup of tea on the sofa. Then
she continues to cook this year's homemade orange marmalade - yumyum!

11:30 I go to bed and take me a short nap - zzzzzz! I am experimenting
currently with taking a nap in the late morning, rather than only in the
afternoon. My experiment goes so far very well - that is both certain and sure!
12:00 I get an email from Steve, my brother-in-law in Philadelphia. He says
there yesterday fell about 30 inches of snow in his neighborhood - oh dear! He
spent yesterday six hours on cleaning up the streets and digging cars free of
snow, along with his neighbors - my goodness! Fortunately, there were no power
outages in the area. Today he feels a little stiff and he has some sore points
on the body - oh dear!
13:00 We eat lunch.
15.00 I'm leafing through the documents I need when Phil comes to buy the
car. I'll have to ask him to sign some pages.
15:30 We relax with a cup of tea, a slice of bread and Lois's brand new
homemade orange marmalade - yumyum!
16:10 We go for a short walk in the neighborhood (1.2 miles, 29 minutes,
112 calories), up to the racecourse back entrance and back again.
The time is 16:10 and we go for a short walk in
