lejlighed i Cheltenham.
1981 og to nye serier: ’Tracy Ullman’s
”Tracey Ullmans Show” er et nyt skitse-show.
sengetidbog.
gruppes næste møde finder sted i morgen kl 14:30 hos os – du godeste, ingen
Shears.
tvillinger.

17:00 Lois comes back from Birmingham and we talk a little about her day. She drove today with her girlfriends Gillian and Mary to a nursing home in Birmingham to visit their elderly friends, Muriel (Gillian's mother), Deirdre and Agnes: all three women were previously members of Lois's church in Cheltenham. Lois says she enjoyed the day, but she is now very tired after several hours of talk - my goodness! I tell Lois about the e-mails, which I and our daughter Sarah during the day have sent each other in connection with the sale of Sarah's old apartment in Cheltenham. Tomorrow I go up the stairs to the loft to search for documents that Sarah left when she 6 weeks ago moved to Australia with her husband, Francis, and their 2.5-year-old twins, Lily and Jessica.
18:00 I hurry out to the kitchen and I make dinner. We eat in the living room and watch a little television. We're both very tired and do not want to see documentaries - that I know for sure! They show three sitcoms: 'Sorry' from 1981 and two new series: 'Tracy Ullman's Show' (a sketch-show) and 'Crashing' (a new sitcom).
'Sorry' is an old sitcom from 1981, starring Ronnie Corbett, the Scottish comedian. The series is about a 41-year-old librarian Timothy Lumsden, who still lives at home with his demanding mother and relaxed father.

"Tracey Ullman's Show" is a new sketch show. Tracey Ullman has
come back to England after several years of residence in the United States.
It's very funny to see her dressed up as famous female celebrities such as
Angela Merkel, Judi Dench and Maggie Smith, etc. We laugh very loudly.
"Crashing" is a new sitcom that first and foremost is all about
young people and sex - my goodness! What a crazy world we live in !!!
22:00 We go to bed. I read 10 pages of my bedtime book, "William Pitt
the Younger" by William Hague. Lois reads 15 pages of her
"Bunkle" bedtime book. So we slip into sleep - zzzzz sounds fill the
bedroom !!!!
03:45 I get up early and take a look on the internet. Then I started
looking at Lesson 9 in our Danish textbook because our U3A Danish group's next
meeting will take place tomorrow at 14:30 at our place - my goodness, no peace
for the wicked, it is in the Bible! This expression has become well known in
England, and one uses it in a humorous way, but I have the feeling that it has
not become popular as a humorous expression in Denmark, for one reason or
another.
08:00 I continue to work on the
forms and documents relating to the sale of Sarah's old apartment in Cheltenham.
I find
4 great folders so I can organize more effectively the many forms and documents
relating to the sale of Sarah's apartment
9:30 Lois has
to be off. She has an appointment with the local hairdresser, Billy Shears.
After half an hour she comes back. I take a short break from my work and we
relax with a cup of coffee.
11:00 Lois
goes to the local post office and sends two parcels abroad, one package to
Isaac, one of our three grandchildren in Denmark and the second package to our
two grandchildren in Australia, Lily and Jessica, Sarah 2, 5- year-old twins.
I continue to
work on Sarah's forms and documents. Eventually I scan the corrected forms in
and attach them to emails I send Sarah.
13:00 After
five hours I stop working on Sarah's forms and we eat lunch. Afterwards I go to
bed and take me a long nap - zzzzz !!!!
14:30 Apollo
Accident Repair Centre calls me. They say that our Honda Jazz has been repaired
and I can get it in the afternoon. I get up and we drive over to their repair
shop and retrieve the Honda and drop off the Clio. Hooray! It's a good feeling
to get the Jazz back again - I am in no doubt!
15:30 We come
home and relax with a cup of tea on the sofa.
16:00 Bob, our
neighbor, rings at the door. He has shot another pheasant, and he makes us a
present of it - my goodness! Lois will be very busy tomorrow - I know for sure!
What a day!!!!
