18:00 We eat dinner: the pheasant, which Bob, our neighbor shot - yum yum yum! We spend the evening on watching TV.

22:00 We go to bed - zzzzz !!!

03:30 I get up early and I look a little on the Internet. I see that a new Danish film, based on Denmark's history, "Tordenskiold & Cold" comes to cinemas in late January. The year is 1720. The Great Northern War against Sweden is over, and the well-known hero Tordenskjold does not know what he should do with his life and therefore journeys out into the world.

the year is 1720 and Tordenskiold, the Danish war hero, travels to England to find a wife and score with women - my goodness!

a1 Oh dear - the English women look a bit indifferent ! My God!

The film is about Tordenskiold, who together with his valet Cold journeys to England to find a wife. Apparently the film draws a new image of Tordenskiold which is far from the war hero. The film depicts a hero who is slowly going to the dogs. He does not do anything other than to boast of his achievements and score women. I would like to see more movies like this! We have here the film industry's future in a nutshell - I am in no doubt! I look forward to seeing the film, possibly in a few years, on BBC4. Good times are on the way!

07:00 I go for a short walk in the neighborhood (1.23 miles, 26 minutes, 108 calories), up to the racecourse back entrance and back again. It's dark and freezing cold, but it's a good feeling to be able to take an early morning walk again after several weeks of rest.

The time is 7:22. The race track is sleeping heavily in the early morning light

The time is 7:30. As I walk past The Royal Oak, a local pub, the app's female voice tells me that I have gone 1 mile - hurray!

9:45 Lois has to be off. There are two church-services, which today take place in Tewkesbury, she wants to participate in. But first, she will attend a baptism taking place at 10:30 am in Corse Lawn. Two new members of the church are being baptized in the morning.

10:00 I am alone in the house, so I decide to experiment with taking an extra nap during the morning. I go to bed - zzzzz!

11:00 I get up and I continue to copy songs from my old video tapes to DVD. We are now in 1990.

1990 - a sweet memory from the times when we, as a family of four, were center of the universe. Alison is 15 years old, Sarah 13 years old.

I play an old video tape from 1990 and come across a Danish song "Hello Hello", interpreted by Lonnie Devantier. Lonnie took part in the Eurovision Song Contest with this song in the former Yugoslavia, where she achieved 8th place. In the song's video, I see some of the sights we now know very well in Copenhagen, for example, the little mermaid, Gefionspringvandet and Deer Park. It is strange to think that Lois and I did not know when we first in 1990 heard this song and saw the video that our destiny would be closely related to Denmark, and that we would stand in front Gefionspringvandet and the little mermaid, and that we would go for a walk with our daughter, Alison, in Deer Park. My Goodness! Life is strange - that is both certain and sure !!!!

Lonnie starts to get off a carriage in Deer Park (1990).

August 2015: Deer Park in happier times: along with Alison, our oldest daughter, we experience Deer Park from the top of a carriage.

Lonnie takes a boat trip in a phone box in 1990 and sees the Little Mermaid

May 2014: The Little mermaid in happier times. Lois along with Alison, her husband, Ed, and their three children

11:30 Sarah, our youngest daughter, who 6 weeks ago moved to Australia with Francis, her husband, and their 2.5 year old twins, calls me on Skype. Our small grandchildren, Lily and Jessica, want to show me their drawings and their new pajamas! Jessica is currently very much into drawing and coloring. It is a shame that Lois is not at home and has missed this call! It's amazing how well especially Lily can speak - my goodness, but Jessica also speaks more now! They grow up quickly - of that I am in no doubt!

13:00 I eat lunch and then I go to bed and take me another long nap - zzzzz !!!!

16:00 I get up. Lois comes home and we relax with a cup of tea on the couch ....
