glider jeg over i søvnen – zzzzzz lyde!!!!
Hun kørte for første gang i går

bekymre os over hendes velfærd.
10:00 Jeanette, vores danske
revisionsfirmaer i området.
English translation
18:30 We have
dinner and spend the evening watching a little television. They show an
interesting documentary about the "renaissance" in art history. The program's
host is the eccentric art historian Waldemar Januszczak (I can never pronounce
his name) who drags his props around with him in a battered old suitcase.
Januszcsak's theory is that the "Renaissance" was a concept that the
mediocre Florentine painter Giorgio Vasari invented when he published his book
"The best painters, sculptors and architects' lives" in 1550 and
became the world's first art historian. In his book Vasari ignored all the
great paintings and sculptures that were already recently created in northern
Europe, for example Van Eyck, Memling, Cranach and Dürer.
Vasari sucked ass as a painter, according to Januszczak, but was one of Michelangelo's most important "groupies", and his book became the most influential art book that has ever been written.

22:00 We go to bed. I read 8 pages of my bedtime-book, "William Pitt the
Younger" by William Hague, and then I slide into sleep - zzzzzz sounds !!!!
3:45 I get up
early and take a look on the internet. I see that our younger daughter, Sarah,
who 10 weeks ago moved to Australia with Francis, her husband and their 2 and a half year old twins, has bought a brand new bike. She rode on the bike for the first
time yesterday, and Francis took a long-distance photo from the family house,
located near Perth. In the photo, one can easily see that the family house is
located not far from the sea - hurray!
Sarah, our younger daughter, riding for the first time on her brand new bike
- hooray!
09:00 Lois gets up and we talk a bit about what we should do with Minx, Alison
and Ed's cat, when we fly to Australia for 10 weeks. We also exchange text
messages with Alison in Copenhagen. We decide that we will not try to find a
house-sitter, but we will reserve a room for Minx at Pussy Willows, the local
cats hotel, and this reservation will cover the entire ten weeks. The hotel
staff will be able to keep Minx company. Minx will not be able to escape, and
if she gets sick (she's 15 years old), someone will take her to the vet, so we
will not have to worry about her welfare.
10:00 Jeanette, our Danish friend, rings at the door. She has brought three guidebooks that provide information on Australian attractions and sights, especially in Western Australia - hurray! These books will surely be very useful when we start to plan our vacation!
10:45 We go for a short walk in the neighborhood. Our route: Bouncer's Lane, Whitehorn Drive, Bramble Rise and back again. At Bramble Rise we pop in and see our old friends, Mr. and Mrs. R. Møller (Roy and Audrey). We talk a little with them. Audrey has written a book about her ancestors, her childhood, her family, her life and career and so on. We borrow a copy from her. It is something that Lois also would like to accomplish, so hopefully Audrey's book will inspire her.

In a few days the family wants to go off to Monkey Mia, a nature reserve, located approximately 560 miles north of Perth. The main attraction is the bottlenose dolphins, which have come close to the coast for over 50 years and which like to swim with the tourists - my goodness!
14:30 I go to bed and take a long nap - zzzzz !!!
15:30 I get up, and we relax with a cup of tea and a piece of bread with orange marmalade - mmmm!!!!!!
