(I virkeligheden er det World of Sport’s Dickie Davies –uha!!!!)

Lad os håbe, at salget snart bliver fuldført!

18:00 Lois and I eat dinner and watch a little television. They show a special version of the popular TV series "Come Dine With Me". In the case of the regular series each program shows a competition between four people, who take turns to host their own dinner party, and each time the 3 guests award the host points, in line with how good the food tastes, how difficult it was to prepare the dish and so on. The program's off-screen "commentator" is Dave Lamb.

For my part, the interesting thing about the program is the personality clashes between the four competitors, and first and foremost Dave Lamb's amusing comments. I care less about the cooking itself.

Tonight for the first time we see the amusing Dave Lamb in front of cameras - my goodness! He does not look like I have always imagined! My God (again)!

Dave Lamb, as I have always imagined! (In fact, the World of Sport's Dickie Davies -uha !!!!)

The real Dave Lamb: my goodness, what a contrast !!!! I feel traumatized !!!

20:00 We continue to watch TV. They show "University Challenge", one of the few television programs that are not suitable for stupid people ha ha ha!

Tonight we see a competition between two colleges: Imperial College London and Nuffield College Oxford. It is interesting that the Nuffield team consists of four foreign students: two Americans (Smith and Gard-Murray), a Norwegian (Ormestad-Frendem, the team's captain) and a South African (Kaliski). My Goodness! What a crazy world we live in!

21:00 There is nothing interesting on television, so Lois suggests that we play a board game, Scrabble. It is unusual for Lois to suggest this game because she used to tell me that "you always win." I do not agree with her about that, because according to me it is always a close fight. It is unfortunate that tonight I win easily over her, with 323 points against her 231. But we agree that she tonight did not have the best letters, and Lois is not a bad loser, thank goodness !!! Minx, Alison and Ed's cat, who as usual, is sitting on Lois's lap, tries to join in, so we feel compelled to put her to bed early - oh dear, poor Minx!

22:00 We go to bed. I read eight pages of my bedtime-book, "William Pitt the Younger" by William Hague, and Lois reads 15 pages of her bedtime-book, "To Tame A Sister" by Gillian Avery. We fall asleep - zzzzz !!!!

4:00 I get up early and take a look on the internet. I have received an email from Sarah, our youngest daughter, who 6 weeks ago moved to Australia with Francis, her husband, and their 2.5-year-old twins. She says that things are moving forward with the sale of her old apartment in Cheltenham. Her "legal team" has sent the buyer's "legal team" a draft sales contract - hurray! Let us hope that the sale will soon be completed!

I see on Facebook that Alison, our oldest daughter, who lives in Copenhagen, is enjoying herself very much with her family: they are taking a skiing holiday in Norway with their friend, Mari-Anna and her family - another family from Copenhagen's English-speaking colony - hurray!

Alison's family enjoying themselves in Norway together with another family from Copenhagen's English-speaking colony - hurray!

I continue to look a little on the Internet. Lois suggested that we travel from Melbourne to Adelaide by train instead of flying when we in the spring visit our youngest daughter, Sarah, and her little family in Perth. I agree with Lois that it would be very exciting, and we would see more of the local landscape and the small towns and so on. But I am surprised and a little disappointed when I do a little research on the web. Australian trains are apparently very old-fashioned and they do not travel very fast - my goodness! The journey takes 11 hours - my goodness (again)!

Melbourne to Adelaide by train, but do we have 11 hours free?

10:00 We drive into the village and slip in at Waghornes, the local butcher, to buy bread. Mr Waghorne always has the area's most delicious bread - yummy! Afterwards we continue to the Regency clinic where Sarah was a patient, before she at the end of November moved to Australia. She has asked us to ask them why she has not received the special insoles she ordered while she still lived in England. My Goodness! What poor service you get from them !!! We discuss the problem with Mel, one of the clinic's secretaries, and she says she on Thursday will talk about it with Lawrence, the clinic's podiatrist, who this week unfortunately has two days off: today and Wednesday. Damn!

10:20 We go for a short walk in Battledown-residential neighborhood, located near the clinic (1.1 miles, 33 minutes, 104 calories). The walk is short, but gives good exercise because one climbs a total of 149 English feet or 45.4 meters. We take photos of each other and of the spring flowers. It feels now as if spring has arrived - hurray!

the time is 11:30. We go for a short walk high above the city in Battledown estate. It feels like spring has arrived - hurray!

12:00 We get home and eat lunch. Then I go to bed and I take a long nap - zzzzz !!!

15:30 I get up and we relax with a cup of tea on the sofa.
