!!!
Politiet tager mange mange alvorlige fejl i deres
undersøgelse, og Andri, byens lokale politichef, prøver at skjule deres fejl
for myndighederne i Rejkjavik.
lokale
(copyright Paul Simon)! Under vores besøg vil vi gerne besøge Peter Barker
Kunstgalleri. Peter er Lois’s fætter.

17:30 Today I discovered that Spark Energy, the company that brings us gas and electricity, have been sitting on £700, which it owes us, without offering to pay the sum back, or to reduce our monthly payment - my goodness ! I sit down at my portable computer and I log onto my favorite price comparison website (uswitch.com), and I find out that we can save £ 500 a year by switching to Scottish Power - hurrah! Uswitch have to organize the change on our behalf.
It's hard to believe that we can save annually so much money - hurrah (again)! In the past, I had the habit of regularly checking up on prices, but for the last 2 years we have become so preoccupied with Sarah's twins, our grandchildren, that I have neglected this important task - oh dear!
18:30 We have dinner and then we spend the evening watching TV. They show University Challenge, one of the few television programs that are not suitable for stupid people ha ha ha!

Afterwards they show an interesting documentary about "renaissance"
of art history (Part 2 of 4). The program's host is the eccentric art historian
Waldemar Januszczak (I can never pronounce his name) who drags his props round
in a battered old suitcase.
Unfortunately, I drift into sleep now and then during the program, and Lois has
to wake me at 10pm, when the documentary is over - my goodness!
22:00 We go to bed - zzzzz !!!

early and take a look at the internet. I realize that I have a slight cold -

I get on with seeing the third episode of "Trapped", the dark, Scandinavian crime fiction series. The story takes place in an Icelandic port town that has been isolated from the rest of the country due to storms, blizzards, etc..

I get on with seeing the third episode of "Trapped", the dark, Scandinavian crime fiction series. The story takes place in an Icelandic port town that has been isolated from the rest of the country due to storms, blizzards, etc..
On the day when the regular ferry arrives from Denmark, the local fishermen find a dismembered corpse in the sea. There are only two policemen (Andri and Asgeir) and one policewoman (Hinrika) working in this city, who for the most part only have to investigate, for example, illegal parking, etc., and now they have to investigate a murder - help!
The police make many many serious errors in their investigation and Andri, the city's local police chief, tries to hide their mistakes from the authorities in Reykjavik.
local people continue to tell Hrofn, city mayor, that they do not
think the local police measure up professionally.
Andri, the city's police chief gets scolded on the phone by his boss
in Reykjavik
Andri become depressed and Hinrika, the city's only policewoman,
encourages him to pull himself together - oh, what a mess !!!
Andri has assumed from the beginning that the murder was committed on the
ferry, but at the end of the third episode, the fishermen also find the
deceased's severed arm and jacket in the sea. Andri dives into the jacket's
pockets and finds, among other things, a pack of cigarettes (bought in Spain),
Icelandic money and a receipt showing that the deceased bought refreshment in
the local hotel 3 days ago, ie before the ferry arrived at the port. So both
the deceased and the murderer were not on the ferry - my goodness! Now you have
to start again, Andri !!!!
Andri, Asgeir and Hinrika examine the severed arm and the
deceased's jacket.
This is the moment when Andri becomes aware that his inquiry has not been anything other than a string of errors - my goodness! What a mess!
