Du godeste, åh, føj for
deres sang ”Save Your Kisses For Me” i 1976.

hurra!
Vi fortæller Sarah at urene i England om 7 dage stilles én time tilbage.
forretningsrejse.
9 (dansk tid), kl 8 her.
English translation
18:00 We are very tired after the
day's gardening. The day has been strenuous - I have no doubt about THAT!!! I
have a little ache in the joints. Not very painful, but it is strange that when
I was younger, I never thought that I myself would suffer from all the ordinary
little pains that other older people suffer from. I thought that it was the
people themselves who were responsible for their own problems because of a bad
or unhealthy lifestyle. I was not aware that it was just age - oh dear! My god,
oh for heaven's sake, how stupid I was!
We are tired and choose to eat
one of the ready meals we bought the other day at Cookshop, some Arab food (I
forget the name of the dish – oh dear! Wait a minute, aha, it is kofta with
couscous - hurrah!). It's all very delicious - yum yum!
We spend the evening watching a
little television. They show Pointless, a TV quiz that tonight has 8
celebrities from the 1970s as participants.
It's silly, but it's a bit of a
shock to see these celebrities as older people, especially in the case of four
of them, whom we see so very very very very often still as young people in old
episodes of Top of the Pops or documentaries about the history of Eurovision,
which Lois and I like to watch !! We are all getting older now - help !!!
Babs Powell and Dee Dee Wilde
were famous dancers on Top of the Pops in the 1970s and Martin Lee and Sandra

22:00 We feel very old - oh dear!
We go to bed - zzzzzz !!!!
05:00 I get up early and do one
of my routine Danish vocabulary tests. Afterwards, I make two cups of tea and
bring them up to our bedroom. I creep back into our bed. We drink the tea and
go in the shower. We get up and eat breakfast.
10:00 We speak a little on the
phone with Sarah, our youngest daughter who moved to Australia 1 year ago,
along with Francis, her husband and their 3-year-old twins, Lily and Jessica.
Next week is Sarah's last week at the temporary position where she has worked
for the past 6 months. It is very stressful at the moment because she has many
tasks she must finish before Friday night.
We talk a bit with Lily and
Jessica. It's very sweet that they think we can see them while we speak to
them, and they enjoy "showing" us a lot of things: their favorite
dresses, flowers they have picked, the drawings and paintings they made etc!
They are at a great age to enjoy life!
Yesterday the twins started a
'ballet class" for children, which takes place every Saturday morning.
They enjoyed themselves dancing, and also learned how to get a good posture -
hurrah!
We tell Sarah that in seven days’
time, clocks in England will have to be put back by one hour. We agree to speak
at 9 am (UK time) in future (5pm Sarah's time), so that we do not disturb the
family’s dinner. In Western Australia the clocks are moved neither forward nor
back all year round - how weird!
12:00 We eat lunch and afterwards
Lois must away. She would like to attend a service taking place today in
Tewkesbury. She is riding with her friend, Maggie.
13:00 I have a little time alone,
and go to bed. I take a gigantic afternoon nap - zzzzzz !!!!
15:00 I get up and go out in the
backyard. I begin to mow the two lawns located at the bottom of the garden.
I come back in and look a little on the internet,
and I see on Facebook that our son-in-law, Ed, who lives and works in
Copenhagen, along with our daughter, Alison, and their three children, has flown
to Britain this morning, partly private, partly business. He ate lunch today
with his parents in the Bournemouth area. Later in the week, he is giving a
speech at a conference, meeting with friends and also using the opportunity to find
out how things stand with the new extension to the family's house in Surrey
County.
Ed, our son flew from Copenhagen to
London this morning
16:00 Lois comes home again and
we relax with a cup of tea on the sofa. We decide to send a text to Alison, and
suggest that we talk on Skype tonight at 9 pm (Danish time), 8 pm here. We want
to find out how it went with the grandchildren's autumn holiday last week.
